Allan Mulandi, BDS, DMD

I am excited to be serving the Mt. Washington Valley community as lead dentist and owner of Eastern Slope Dental.

My wife Jenna and I have had the privilege to live and work in Kenya, the UAE and at our new home here in the United States. We are blessed with three wonderful children: Kyalo, Malaikah, and Kioko. We enjoy traveling, especially to visit the outdoors, which is a big reason we’ve chosen to put down roots here in the Mt. Washington Valley.

We’re excited to experience the incomparable beauty of our new surroundings, get to know our new neighbors, and be close to my wife’s family who already live here.

Born and raised in Kenya, I hold dual dental degrees: a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Nairobi, and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey.

Since 2003 my academic and clinical training and experience have exposed me to a diverse range of general dentistry disciplines including: oral surgery, extractions, dental implants, root canal therapy, esthetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, dentures and orthodontics (braces). I am proud to be an Affiliate Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).

I believe in educating my patients about the connections between oral and systemic health, and the importance of maintaining optimal oral health for their overall health and wellness. I believe that a well-informed patient will make the right choices when it comes to his or her health, which is why I consider my duty to empower patients to make informed choices about their oral health and wellness.

Amber McPherson, DMD

I am thrilled to join the team at Eastern Slope Dental as an Associate Dentist and am beyond privileged to serve this community.

I grew up in Conway, New Hampshire, with my parents, four siblings, and a large extended family. As a child, my parents placed me in the Rattlesnakes ski program at Cranmore Mountain Resort, it was love at first turn. My grandfather soon encouraged me to race, and from then on, I spent my winters entirely dedicated to the mountains. Ironically it was ski racing, an accident to be specific, that introduced me to dentistry. Following two chipped front teeth, an emergency root canal, and countless impressions, I finally had a beautiful new smile, and a strong passion to pursue a career in dentistry.

I went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in biology with a minor in chemistry from Colby-Sawyer College in 2015. After graduating and taking a year to study for the Dental Admissions Test while coaching the MWV ski team, I was accepted at the University of New England’s College of Dental Medicine. I graduated in May, 2021, with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine and a certificate in Dental Public Health Leadership.

My own experiences as both a patient and a student dentist forged the type of provider I want to be. At Eastern Slope Dental, my philosophy is simple: treat patients the way I want to be treated. This means being transparent and empowering my patients with knowledge about their oral health and treatment plans. It means listening to patient needs and ensuring that they know I am here first and foremost to care for their oral and overall health. It means providing evidenced based, medically necessary health care backed by the most up to date research and technology.

When I treat a patient, I want them to leave with confidence and trust. I am an empathetic and compassionate provider who intimately understands the community’s culture and health care needs.

When I’m not in the office, I am frequently in the mountains hiking, biking, running, or backcountry skiing. I enjoy practicing yoga, sewing, ceramics, and spending time with my family and friends. This year I am even trying my hand at sailing.
