Dentures and Removable Appliances

Tooth loss is much more than just a cosmetic concern. When you’re missing even one natural tooth, you can experience bone loss, mild facial sagging, and improper alignment of your remaining teeth, all of which can cause unnecessary pain and discomfort. On top of that, there’s the loss of confidence from having a large space in your smile where your natural teeth used to be.

Dr. Mulandi understands that you want to restore your smile and improve your oral health as soon as possible. We encourage anyone missing one or more of their natural teeth to contact Eastern Slope Dental for an evaluation and discussion about installing dentures, implants, bridges, or other restorative measures.

How You Benefit from Wearing Dentures

Dentures give you back a natural smile and restore your mouth to full functionality. You can enjoy many of your favorites foods again and speak with clearer diction that you did with missing teeth. Our Eastern Slope Dental team will provide you with complete care instructions after installing your new dentures, including any foods you should avoid eating.

For patients receiving partial dentures, our staff closely matches the shade of your replacement teeth to that of your existing teeth. You can also depend on Dr. Mulandi and the staff at our Conway dental practice to make sure that your new dentures fit securely in your mouth and feel comfortable to you. Full dentures remain in place with suction power and partial dentures may be worn like a retainer or attached to a crown or bridge. At every examination, our team will reinspect your dentures to ensure that they still fit snugly and securely to ensure your comfort.

Care for Your Dentures Properly to Ensure Longevity

Your new dentures can last more than a decade if you take good care of them. It’s important to get into a good routine from the first day you have them, so our team will go over all cleaning and maintenance instructions with you. The cleaning routine is not too difficult, and includes removing your dentures and brushing the inside of your mouth, alongside your natural teeth. Brushing your tongue and gums reduces plaque and improves gum tissue health by promoting good circulation. The final steps are to place your dentures in a fresh glass of water, add a cleansing tablet, and let them soak overnight.
